2-13-2014 Valentine's Dinner

Inspired by Chef Monika's cooking classes
and watching "The Chew" on ABC,
my DH suggested that we
cook a meal 
for Valentine's Day.
Since we have plans tomorrow and this coming weekend,
we pulled out our "Emeril LaGasse" Cookbook
and made our Valentine's Dinner tonight:

 A plateful of yummy Emeril deliciousness!!!

 Homemade Vanilla Custard 
with macerated berries and orange liqueur
for dessert.

And fantastic white wine
from a local Iowa vineyard!

We decided this was so much fun
we may do it every Valentine's Day
from now on!
