Today I removed my Scobi
from my 2nd batch of homemade Kombucha
and added it to the freshly brewed tea on the right
to start next week's new batch.
It works kind of like sourdough
in that you add a little of the old/fermented tea
(in the pitcher)
to the new batch of tea (on the right),
then top it with the SCOBI
and let it 'brew' for the next week.
My beautiful SCOBI...
(looks like a disgusting blob, yes?!?!?)
