Today I went to my local yarn shoppe...

and attended a class

held outdoors in the courtyard

from 9am-3pm ...

and learned to knit a hat

with a Fair Isle technique/pattern!

Today DH & I

spent the day with our son and his fiancé

on the Chicago River

taking an architectural tour

of the skyscrapers in downtown Chicago

by boat...

Afterwards, we had a late lunch

and went to visit their new fur baby

at the Pocket Puppies store...

She's a Teacup Yorkie.  :*)

DD, DH & I had fun walking around and watching all the crazy Iowa fans surrounding the stadium at today's Iowa vs. Iowa State game! Iowa won 34-0.

9-1-2010 Teaching An Old Dog New Tricks

I've decided to try and teach this old dog (me, above)

a new trick  (Continental Knitting!!!)
