1-30-2011 Domesticity

Went to church this morning...

then came home

and made a pot of homemade chicken soup for lunch...

and spent the afternoon

learning to knit a fingerless mitten/wrist warmer...

and tonight I'll watch the pro-bowl football game...

just being a home body today!

Also got to see my son and his fiancé and her niece!

After about one minute in the 0*F temps

my cat was eager to come back inside!

1-21-2011 A High of Zero *F

As outdoor temps reach a high of 0*F today

and indoor temps are a bit chilly

the cat has decided to take her cat naps

under the blankets we have lying around...

so I have to be careful when I sit down anywhere

or I'll have a cat pancake!

Eye update:

3 months post-op check up today...

eye is healing perfectly, thank God!

1-16-2011 Super Bowl XLVI - 2012 Scarf

I've been knitting this scarf for the 2012 Super Bowl XLVI

while watching the playoff games this past two weekends.  :*)

I plan to add white fringes on the ends,

white stars on the edges,

and the words "Super Bowl XLVI" on one end

and "2012" on the other end.

My son's fiancé

got him a big remote control spider for Christmas

which their puppy loves to attack!

After taking our son and his fiancé out to lunch

to celebrate his birthday

we went ice skating!

It was the 3rd time in my life I've been on ice skates

and I did pretty well...

didn't fall down a single time!  :*)
