Seeing these clouds today made me think of angels...

Also, painted another "Hourglass Quilt" pattern

First step was painting the pattern...

Second step was blending the colors

into the white triangles

wo that it looks like a washed, old, well-used and loved quilt!

Now to write a comforting message of love on the back

and pop it into the mail.

High temps in the Quad Cities

are bringing in some storms and much needed rain!

Think I'll stay indoors and learn something new...

7-22-2020. Harvesting

The garden has been a bit of a bust this season.

Last week, the GDs helped Papa pull what carrots sprouted

and pull out the sweet peas.

Beets and Swiss chard never even sprouted. :-(

7-21-2020. Tree Trim

It was time to trim the trees out front.

I noticed people on the sidewalk waking by

 had to duck under numerous branches

so it's time to get out the trimmers and make a trip

to the local composting center!
Here's how the trees looked after their 'haircut.'

And when we got home from the composting center

it started raining...

for the remainder of the day!

Whew! Good timing!

Here are my first attempts

at painting the Neowise Comet

in my watercolor journal...

(I have a couple of other ideas I want to try too.)

I find it a fun way to journal about 

what's going on around me

without having to come up with words!

7-15-2020. Finally In Tune

My favorite NAF voice

comes from this flute I purchased some 20 years ago

in Kansas City.

It is highly unusual because it has an OVAL bore

instead of the typical round bore.

This was my very NAF purchased

and has a special place in my heart...but...

one of it's notes was quite out of tune!

Lucky for me,

my dear husband now makes Native American Style Flutes

and knows how to retune the holes!

He worked his magic on this beloved

and it now is a perfect pentatonic minor!

Thank you so much Sweetie!

I am blessed!
