that were on a small tray she photographed...

we were on the very north edge of it yesterday...

we sustained no damage here,

but south of us they were not so lucky...

We are still experiencing smoky skies

from the Canadian wildfires.

My heart goes out to Canada

as these fires continue to burn

throughout the summer!

The smoke smell is so strong

that I am forgoing my morning walks.

Meanwhile,

my DD and her family are having fun in the sun

on vacation in the Devil's Tower/Mt. Rushmore area!

This morning I tried a new (to me) yoga class.

We have heavy Canadian wildfire smoke today

all the way to the ground...

I can smell and taste it.

It's a good day to stay inside.

The sky looks white (instead of blue)

and at ground level it looks like fog

but smells like smoke.

Today my dear Chicago family said goodbye

to their sweet teacup Yorkie, Teddy.

My heart goes out to them

as they mourn his passing.

He was a sweetheart.

He will be missed and remembered fondly.

I know what it feels like to lose a beloved pet.

I have lost many over my lifetime.

They are a true family member.

They give unconditional love.

They give you joy and laughs.

They comfort you when you're down.

They continue to live in your heart

long after they cross the rainbow bridge.

R.I.P Teddy.

Trying out a fashion sketch using 

Karen Campblell's "Stick People" method..

8 heads high...3 heads wide...dots at the joints...

connect the dots to creat a stick person...

'flesh out' the lines between the dots...

...add some clothes...

...add a face...

...outline the figure with a pen

and erase the pencil marks...

(I chose not to erase them...I like them!)

...add color to your sassy fashion figure...
