The 'scribble-scrabble-with-a-crayon face' 

that I tried yesterday drove me nuts!!! 

I'm a beginner, trying to learn HOW to even draw a face. 

So when I was instructed to pick up a crayon and lightly sketch the face,

 I personally did not find that helpful to me. 

So for the second face, I went in the opposite direction, 

and tried sketching the face using the Loomis method. 

It gave me the necessary landmarks that I need to look for! 

And while it's not 'scribble-scrabble'...

I like how she turned out better than yesterday's mess! Ha.

And now...

Today I combined 2 practices...sketching the face with a pencil using Loomis method...and then scribble-scrabble coloring it in.

Ahh, ya gotta love Spring in Iowa...

we had two days of record breaking high temps (75*F)

followed by a day of single digit temps

with a -9*F wind chill.

And tomorrow it's in the 70's again!

And a license plate that made me think of my husband...

because I always refer to him as my hot rod...
