1-29-2016 Hatchables
Thanks to a VERY GENEROUS uncle and aunt,
my GDs were some of the lucky few
who received a "Hatchable" for Christmas.
This 4 year old just spent over an hour
reading books to her "Hatchable" named Lilly.

12-21-2016 Winter Solstice ~ Project Peace
On this day of the Winter Solstice,
I...and 20,000+ other knitters
have joined a worldwide
KAL.
For the past 21 days
we have been focusing on PEACE
in ourselves, our homes, our neighborhoods
and the world.
Today at noon, we will all together as one
sit down and knit and pray for peace on earth.
From our lips to God's ears!!!
I'm using the left over yak yarn from
my Stravaigin cowl (at the bottom).
I LOVE this yarn...
it does not itch AT ALL.
I have half a round to go before the bind off
so will be able to finish it
during the worldwide noon KAL today!
Absolutely LOVE my yak cowls!!!

12-4-2016 A L O N G Drive Home!
Leaving Chicago...a winter wonderland!
Leaving Illinois
and entering Iowa in a near white out!
Coming home to find almost 10" of snow
on our deck and driveway,
and 6" on the railings...
so I'm guessing we got about 8" so far...
and it's still coming down.
Official totals for Bettendorf...9"
