Since the GDs are reading the Harry Potter books

we thought we'd watch the movies

to familiarize ourselves with the

characters and stories again

so we know what they're talking about

when they discuss them!

So each night for the next week

we are streaming another of the HP movies

and as we watch, 

I make these little sketches of the characters.

I have learned that my BFF

has passed away today, 

Christmas Day,

and transitioned to her heavenly home.

Our Lord will tell her,

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"

I will miss her. 

I will grieve her.

I will remember her.

I will see her again in heaven.

I love her to pieces!

She is my soul sister...my anam cara.

The world is a better place

for having her in it.

My deepest, deepest condolences

to her husband Steve, family and friends!

I'll see you again soon, dear one!

my husband made for me

by turning ancient kauri wood...

45,000+ years old!

He had the wood carbon dated

and it went back beyond what

carbon dating can date!

He's also turned some Native American style flutes

for each of his grandchildren

using this ancient wood.

And my dear grandsons...

Oma and Opa love them so much!
