for our son's fiancé's Bridal Shower.

DH & I found a Dunkin' Donuts

and indulged (today)!

when DH & I got home from running 5K+...

took a shower and went to Yoga class...

came home and took another shower...

and decided to find an 'indoor' activity for today:

since my last pedi...

and since I'm going to a bridal shower

in Chicago this weekend

I wanted my calloused running feet

to look their best in sandals!

DH & I  were hoping to go downtown 

to watch the criterium bicycle race this weekend, 

but if this rain keeps up...

5-25-2011 It's an illusion...

Today I tried 'illusion knitting' for the first time...

thought I'd start with something small like a dishcloth...

looking at the discloth head on, it looks like stripes...

Looking at if from an angle

one can see the Gingham Check pattern...

 It was so easy and went so quickly

that I made another one right away

(they are both gifts)...

and have a third one on the needles

for myself!

5-24-2011 Won't be long now...

...until the 3 Decorah Eaglets

get kicked out of the nest!

They are getting so big!

Now I see why the nest is 6 feet across!!!

Unlike the first two months

when there was a parent with them at all times,

they now spend most of the time with no parent present.

5-17-2011 iMac

 Yesterday afternoon DH invested in another Mac  :*)

I'm sure there will be a bit of a learning curve

switching from a PC to a Mac

but it will be well worth the effort!!!

Today DH & I went to the local garden center

to purchase tomato and pepper plants

for our vegetable garden.
