9-22-2018 Irish Meadows Alpaca Farm Open House
Peeking into the barns to see the babies.
Climbing the ladder up to the hay loft.
Watching the alpaca eat hay.
Feeling the very soft alpaca fleece!
Turning the wheel to brush the fleece fibers.
Carding/brushing the fleece to clean it.
Spinning the fleece into yarn.
Getting a free sample/souvenir of alpaca yarn...
and a little baggie of black fleece!
Safe in the storm shelter/tornado cellar.
Exploring the converted barn/gift shop.
Feeling all the soft alpaca goodies!
This was the perfect way to spend a beautiful Fall morning!
Thank you so much for joining me, DD and GDs!
This is Oma's favorite alpaca yarn source!

9-20-2018 What Are You Doing?
Today was my annual eye checkup.
My doctor asked, "What are you doing?"
because my vision has IMPROVED instead of gotten worse!
"Are you eating carrots or something?" She asked.
"Why yes! Yes I have been!" I replied
because I've been juicing a lot this past year!

9-19-2018 Pool Deck
It's fun to watch the pool deck
being built around our neighbor's back yard pool.
Brings back memories of all the pool decks
my DH and son built around our pool in Missouri.

9-10-2018 Anchors Away
Received this sweet gift form my dear sister...
a hand-sewn top.
It is so nice and soft
and I love the 3/4 length sleeves and neckband.
Will enjoy wearing it around the house!
Thanks, Sis!
