2-16-2019 Blocking the Beast

Finally finished my "Spirit of Life" shawl/stole...

begun August 30, 2018.

I've renamed it my "Healing Mantle"

and wrap up in it when I meditate.

It is truly a work of art!!!

I learned 4 new-to-me techniques making this wrap.

What I ordered...

What I got...

I'm slowly learning that ordering things online

is not the best way to go.

This has happened numerous times

from different companies and products.

I guess I need to see what I'm buying before I pay. Sigh.

Live and learn.

2-8-2019 SunLit Ice

Sunlit ICE on the trees

shining in the setting sun

as 50 mph winds swing the branches

together and make a clacking sound

like a skeleton dancing in the wind.

My world is covered with ice today.

Thank you to neighbors Eli and Ruby, Angela and Ryan

for keeping Jocelyn safe yesterday

when she arrived home from

an early out

that Oma did not know about!

So glad they kept her from trying to walk to Oma's house!

the teacher disappears.

2-4-2019 Bummer

1-26-2019 Progress Report

Here's a progress report on this shawl I'm crocheting.

It is filled with the colors of the desert in Arizona...

grays, greens, browns, peaches and purples.

When finished, I will call it my "Healing Mantle."
