4-7-2020 Rainbow Bridge
Barucha died today.
Average life of an indoor housecoat is 12-14 years.
She is/was 14 years old.
Had not eaten for 3 weeks.
Was skin and bones.
Labored breathing.
Incontinent.
Suffering.
Now her suffering is ended.
She spent her last day on earth outside in the sunshine.
We buried her in our yard
after a small ceremony with my daughter and granddaughters.
The granddaughters have know her their entire lives
and I am so glad they came over to say 'goodbye'
and help lay her to rest.
They had painted some rocks a while back
and we put those on the kitty's burial spot as a gravestone.
As my daughter and granddaughters returned home
they saw a faint rainbow in the sky
and knew that kitty had passed safely over the rainbow bridge to heaven.
Tonight is the April Full Moon...
the Pink SUPER Moon...
a time for releasing...
kitty to kitty heaven.

4-6-2020 Tropical Florals and Butterfly Wings
Still practicing florals...
these are supposed to be tropical flowers.
I seriously need a new #2 round paintbrush...this one is smashed!
I had to 'label' the flowers so you can tell what
they are 'supposed' to be! ha.

4-5-2020 Critters
Our kitty Barucha
who stopped eating 2 weeks ago...
She is 14 years old.
A snake seen on my morning walk...
a reminder to shed my old skins when they no longer serve me
because of my growth...
Fuzzbert is a woolyworm that J found last week
and she wanted to make it a home.
We found a plastic container and she filled it with rocks, sticks, and greens.

4-2-2020 Pearls and a Rose
Tried painting some pearls
for this month's "Let's Make Art Matter"...
Finished the next patch...
Arne and Carlos's variation of a
traditional Norwegian Eight Petal Rose...
now that I look at the photo
I see a mistake!
Argh!
I hate it when that happens!

3-29-2020 Dear Diary
"Painting is just another way of keeping a diary."
~Pablo Picasso
My painting on day 14 of self-isolation
during the Covid-19 pandemic...
This is an ATC
(Artist Trading Card...2.5x3.5").
Yes, they're a thing.
I've learned about them
since I started painting in Nov.2019
Starting to add form to my journal painting...
Calling it finished!
Time to move on to may next painting...
an octopus!
It's a Sunday morning.
Normally I would be in church.
Now church is being done over the internet for a while.
Very weird!!!

3-25-2020 SOOOOOOO Happy!!!!
I am sooooooooo happy
to see this card in the mail,
these flags in my backyard,
and these trucks from Metro-net fiberoptics
in my neighborhood!!!
We only have Mediacom available in our neighborhood
and they...suck!!!
Even tho we pay for the fastest download speeds available
from them (X-stream)...
our download speeds are SUPER SLOW.
Everything buffers.
WWW pages take ages to load.
Mediacom had awful NO customer service.
So I'm super excited to see some competition
coming into the area to offer us a different choice~

3-24-2020 Happy Anniversary!
Happy 46th Anniversary
to my dear sweet high school sweetheart
and the love of my life!
We usually go out to eat to celebrate
our anniversary
but thanks to the corona virus (Covid19)
all the restaurants doing ONLY take-out (NO dine-in)
so, we called up our usual 'anniversary' restaurant
and got some take out.
We had to call to place our order,
they told us when the order would be ready,
then we had to drive to the restaurant,
park in front, and call them on the phone again
to let them know that we were there.
Someone from inside brought out the order
and placed it on the sidewalk.
After he returned into the restaurant,
we were allowed to exit our car
to pick up our order from the sidewalk.
Also, my husband told me that
there are clear plastic shields/windows
between customers and clerks
at the grocery stores and at the post office now.
When will this end???
Anyway, happy anniversary, my dear!
Glad I have you to share this crazy life with!
And thank you, J & E, for your happy anniversary card and wishes!
