4-26-2020 Remember Fuzzbert?

Well, it formed a fuzzy brown cocoon shortly after the GDs 

put it in it's new 'home'...

...and this past weekend it emerged as a 

beautiful golden Isabella Tiger moth!

I only got one lonely tulip bloom this spring

(well, maybe two...we'll see...)

so was happy to see some spring tulips

show up in the 'Arne and Carlos Quanantine Knit-A-Long!'

4-24-2020 Fences

Good fences make good neighbors.

Our new next-door neighbors

have two LARGE dogs...

a German Shepherd and a mutt.

My GDs are terrified of them and 

will no longer go outside to play in the yard

unless the neighbor's dogs are indoors.

Today we were happy to see them put up a fence!

Now the GDs can play without fear.

4-21-2020 Different Platform

It looks like Google

has now ruined Blogger.com.

I've been on blogger.com for over a decade

and never had a problem.

At the end of each year

I would have my blog printed

and have a beautiful photo album of the year.

Now all of a sudden,

previously posted photos are randomly disappearing

and being replaced with this...

Several years ago,

Google bought/took over a wonderful

free photo editing site (Picnic)

and took it under their Google umbrella

and RUINED IT!!!

Before they bought it and removed it from the internet,

I could upload and completely edit a photo and save it in 45 seconds.

Now that Google has taken it over

it is soooooo user UNfriendly 

and takes me an hour to upload and edit a single photo.

Argh.

I think I'm going to break up with Google.

Time to find a different platform?

Or maybe just stop blogging

and go back to the old fashioned photo albums

with printed/hard copy photos.

But I will miss keeping in touch with family and friends

using this blog.

4-14-2020 Mini Monday Madness...On Tuesday!

Babysat the GDs yesterday

so didn't have time to paint my Monday Mini...

so I did it today...

using wet-on-wet technique....followed by wet-on-dry technique.

The water in my birdbath was frozen this morning.

I'm soooooo ready for warmer weather,

green grass and spring flowers!

So, I'll paint them!

washing windows and floors,

putting up the cleaned birdhouses and birdbath,

boiling and painting a few Easter eggs,

and mixing up some sugar cookie dough

to make some spring flower and butterfly cookies.
