We'll be getting new neighbors soon! I wonder what they will be like. It makes me think about also BEING a good neighbor... welcoming them when they move in... taking them a warm loaf of freshly baked banana bread and a tea towel as a housewarming gift... inviting them over... waving to them and/or going over to talk when we see each other outside... watching out for each other...
Oh lucky neighbors!! I looove banana bread!! I love doing that too - although it seems to have fallen out of fashion in this area!!

I remember when I was a teenager and my family moved to a new home. Our next door neighbor, a housewife married to a mortician (!) brought over some fresh baking for us. Her act of kindness has always stayed with me. Such a lovely thing to do!
