My travel/vacation sketch journal for today...
Garden of the Gods @ Shawnee National Forest IL
Leaves bigger than my hand!
Duh...

We saw Bigfoot...
so I added him to my sketches!
After hiking the Garden of the Gods
we drove to find Fern Clyffe Falls
on a really sketchy road!!!
(Still in Shawnee National Forest)
The fields were a blanket of yellow happiness...
not sure what weed or crop it was
but it sure was pretty...and everywhere!
Drove by a cool old bldg that I want to sketch...
Took a soak in the hot tub to relax these old bones
after a day of hiking...
then closed out the evening with a campfire.
