DH's truck battery

was dead as a door nail yesterday!

AAA came and gave him a jump start

so he could drive to the service station

for a new battery.

DH & I spent all evening watching the Venus Transit

using a pair of binoculars 

and a welders shade #12 

($3.00 from a local welding supply co.)...

It was soooooooooo awesome!

We knocked on our neighbors doors and let them see it too.

It won't be seen again for 105 years in 2117.

We tried photographing the spectacle

but had no success

so I'm using these images from the www.
