National "Pink...Hydration...Detroit-Style Pizza" Day

I had no idea what "Detroit-Style Pizza" was

so I looked it up...

it is assembled in the opposite order of most pizza

by putting the meat directly on the crust,

then the cheese on top of the meat,

and finally racing stripes of tomato/pizza sauce on top

and then it is baked in square pans 

and cut in square pieces.

It's really a thing.

Who knew?

Also,

GD went to a birthday party

which was perfect for

"National PINK Day"...

She and 7 of her friends

has mani-pedi's on the pinkalicious bus!

What a party!

...followed by a dress-up 'fashion show.'

What a lot of fun for little girls!!!

Tomorrow is my BFF's birthday.

She and her dear husband drove down from Wisconsin for a visit today

so we got to give each other birthday and "I miss you" hugs. 

We forgot to take a pix of the two of us together,

so sent each other a selfie while she was on the road back to Wisconsin.

Love her so much and miss her more than she knows.
