1-21-2025 "Thirds Method"

 

Today I am starting to explore

the "Thirds Method" of drawing faces

as presented in the Awesome Art School

by Karen Campbell...

as opposed to the "Loomis Method"

that I've been trying to learn via the www

over the past few years.

I have also learned that being artistic and creative

is NOT a talent

but is a SKILL that anyone can learn

with diligent study and practice.

It's just a matter of learning the rules.

Here is the beginning of my study

of the "Thirds Method" of drawing faces.

It will take me several days/weeks to complete.

Then I will draw the same face/reference photo

using the "Loomis Method"

and compare the two

to see which method I prefer.

Step 1- thirds and the circle
