No one seems to be talking
about yesterday's politically motivated
assassinations and shootings
by a Trump supporter,
a result of Trump's hate-filled, extremist, fascist rhetoric...
Democracy in the USA is dead.
We are now living under a Fascist Dictator
whose political opponents are being silenced
when they use their constitutional right to free speech
to oppose Trumps agenda:
to defund
and remove food from the hungry,
healthcare from women and children and the elderly,
to remove minorities from history,
to remove diversity, equality and inclusion,
to remove critical thinking from education,
to remove funding for research,
to ignore the constitution and do whatever he wants,
to target law firms who press charges against him,
to intimidate and threaten the press and media
to not report the truth if it is not flattering him,
to remove scientists and vaccines
that have kept us safe for decades,
to remove social security and medicare from the retired,
brown-skinned people from the population,
voting rights from many,
creating tariffs that cause an increased cost of living,
to insult and turn our backs on all our allies,
to cozy up to other dictators and former enemies,
to remove super qualified leaders from their jobs
and replace them with unqualified yes-men,
and on and on and on.
RIP Melissa Hortman and husband Mark.
Thank you for your service to our country.
Thank you for standing up against Trump's madness.
And sending out prayers for healing
to MN Senator John Hoffman and his wife
who were also targeted and shot.
