The QCAS (Air Show)

was in town this past weekend.

We got to see the USAF Thunderbirds fly by

while we were in the parking lot

of our local grocery store!

And also some older planes

flew over our neighborhood.

with Venus and Jupiter...

A sliver of shadow, a whisper of light, The new moon in Virgo, a silent, soft sight. She rises and waits, in the fading of night, For her celestial partners, and morning's new might.

 

Venus, a diamond, a glimmering spark, A beacon of beauty emerging from dark. And Jupiter, regal, a generous mark, To brighten the canvas where all three embark.

 

They gather in stillness, a cosmic ballet, A dance on the canvas of morning's first ray. The stars dim their lamps to watch them at play, As dawn paints the sky in a soft, lilac gray.

 

Three heavenly bodies, in rhythm and grace, Illuminating the sky in this sacred space. A moment of magic, for time to embrace, Before the sun's glory takes over its place.
