And, we woke up to our first measurable snow for this winter!

11-25-2023 Clean Up...Great Aunt Again!...

Now the kids and grandkids have returned home

to their busy lives...the house is so quiet...

and Oma and Opa are washing the sheets and cleaning the floors.

I'll be finding these little cookie decorations each time I sweep

for days to come...little reminders of good times and good memories!

Also, I became a great aunt again!

My nephew Johnny and wife had twin boys yesterday morning!

Congratulations to them and their sweet daughter

and to my brother for his 2 new grandsons!

11-24-2023 DnD

The grandkids have started playing Dungeons and Dragons.

They spent an hour or so playing yesterday,

and also tried teaching Oma and Oma to play.

I chose the character BIP ELLYWICK,

a Gnome Monk

(since I'm into painting Gnomes right now!)...

Thank you to our daughter and son-in-law

for bringing the game over

and teaching us to play!

We had a fun adventure

down by the old grist mill.

11-23-2023 Hello Humans...Decorating Christmas Trees and Cookies...Presents!...

I finished painting my sketches

of my Merry Christmas Gnomes

for my Christmas greetings this year...

And the grandkids helped Oma decorate

her little Christmas tree... and German lemon cookies...

and helped Opa put up our outdoor lights...

Then, after a lasagne and salad dinner

with the Grand's homemade breadsticks

and Christmas cookies for dessert,

it's FINALLY time to open the Christmas presents!!!

11-22-2023 Gnomes...Coffeecake and Dinner Rolls...

Gnomes...this morning's sketch...

...got the red paint on...

now for the blues and greens...

The family arrived today

for our Thanksgiving/Christmas get-together!

The cousins (my grandkids) made fresh coffeecake for tomorrow morning

and dinner rolls for dinner later tomorrow evening.

(Omas' way of keeping them entertained without electronics!)

Mmmmm...the house smelled so good while these were baking!
