Spring is here

and I'm spending more time outdoors

with the GDs

so I crocheted this sun hat for myself today.

4-25-2016 Library Card

For the past two years

DH and I have taken the GDs to the library

every Monday morning

and we check out 10-12 books each week

and read them numerous times before returning them

the following Monday.

Today, we did something special...

Mommy had a vacation day

and was able to come along

and we got our oldest GD her very own library card!

She was sooooo excited!!!

She skipped through the library 

and told everyone who would listen,

"I got my very own library card today!!!"

and we had messy fun planting them.

The oldest GD wanted one of everything in her pot,

the youngest GD wanted just one...purple.

My front yard tulips

have started blooming!

They are always my indicator

as to when the tulips will be open in Pella, IA

which has a huge tulip festival every spring.

Need to make the GDs some mittens

so they can wear them outside and 

watch them change colors!

Well, it's been a year ago today

( Sky Scarf )

that I began knitting my "Sky Scarf"

and today I knit the final row!

Each day I knitted one row to reflect

what the sky was doing that day, 

so nature dictated the stripes of the scarf.

Added my fifth and final row

of granny squares 

to the columns on the front porch of my LYS

for the owner's requested yarn bombing.

I love how colorful they turned out!

Silly weather...

can't decide if its Spring or Winter...

began at 28*F 

and ended at 79*F...
and tomorrow will be 30-40*F...
and next weekend will be 10-20 *F.

Had some beautiful Virgas today...

unusual for this area!
