their cousin was a Werewolf...

10-30-2022 Starved Rock Family Time

We got to spend some time 

at Starved Rock State Park, IL

with our Chicago Family

about a month ago. <3

We took some lovely hikes

thru the woods full of beautiful autumn colors,

(and all the waterfalls were completely dry,

and lost a necklace,

and broke an ankle,

and couldn't use the hotel swimming pool,

and our fave BBQ restaurant

was closed for remodeling...),

but all in all, a lovely time together!

(got to do some sketching with my grandson!)

This man, Artist Alan St. George, is the one

who purchased this 23 room castle in 1974

and added on to make it a 60+ room castle!

He was in the Ballroom at the end of the tour

to answer any questions and greet guests.

I have no clue how he has accomplished

all of this in just one lifetime!
