by all the different instructors  FUN!.

Saw this as we were driving out of Las Vegas.

Finally outside of Las Vegas 

and heading to Zion Canyon National Park.

Driving through the Virgin River Gorge

before coming to Zion Canyon.

in Springdale, UT.

3-1-2019 Polka Dot Paint Job

Did a polka-dots paint job on my suitcase

for my upcoming trip

to Native American Flute School

so I can find it easily in the baggage claim!

And got a dreamcatcher and Kokopelli 

charm for my bracelet!

It's still slipper weather...

for the second time this winter!

We've still got plenty of cold weather ahead!

made some homemade chicken noodle soup

and brought it to BAM bookstore today

to feed our knitting group lunch!

What a sweetheart!

DH and I are making 4 batches of soup 

to throw in the freezer

for quick lunches and dinners

for the rest of the winter...

2-21-2019 LOVE THESE!

My brain has a negative bias

due to childhood trauma...

so I've had lots of negative self-talk going on

these past 6 decades!

This deck of cards is full of positive affirmations

that are accepting and empowering

and I plan to absorb and digest them

into my spirit and energy...

the positive things I should have been told as a child...

but wasn't.

I am at a fork in the road of my life's journey...

to either stay on the negative path I've been traveling

for the past 6 decades...

or to take off in a new direction

that is more positive.

I am choosing the new/positive direction.

I am turning the page on the previous negative chapter of my life

and beginning a new chapter in my story.

It will be a short chapter, but at least it will be happy.

Some of my family and friends may not like

the direction I am taking.

I'm fine with that.

2-20-2019 Angels

This is the seventh online course I have taken

in an attempt to study

how current/pop culture view angels.

The Bible, other sacred texts, and many cultures

all ascribe to the existence of angels

and growing up in the Christian faith tradition

I believed that angels existed

because they are mentioned in the Bible,

BUT,  I actually know very little about them

(or what people believe about them, esp. today)

other than a few names (Michael, Gabriel, etc.) 

and that theyare messengers from/to God.

So, thought I would study up.

It's been interesting!
