This weekend I attended a knitting retreat

at the Needles Quilting and Yarn shop

in Rochelle, IL.

10-13-2016 OLPR and My Hero!

After knitting today at OLPR,

I finally finished this 1898 hat

and Charlie was kind enough to model it for me.

When I got home and was taking off my bracelets...

See the bracelet on the far right?

Well, it slipped off my wrist as I was removing it

and went right down my bathroom sink drain!

Before taking the drain apart

I tried to snag it with my Zip-It

to no avail.

So, DH was kind enough to remove the trap

and retrieve the bracelet.

He is my hero on a daily basis!

9-30-2016 Front Porch Decorations

 The munchkins helped Oma and Papa

decorate the front porch for autumn.

We had fun at the local nursery

picking out the cornstalks and gourds.

We're still waiting for the Crocs to arrive in the mail.

pre-kindergarten family open house last night!

We also ordered some new crocs...
