7-2-2020 Dental Visit

Today I have an appointment
for a dental cleaning and check up...at 4:30 p.m.
the final appt. of the day.
Wish I could have had the FIRST appt. of the day instead.
The air in the enclosed space of the small dental office and rooms
will be filled with the breath of all the people who visited during the day...
not only their breath, but the 'spray' that is typical from dental work.
Ugh.
I kind of want to cancel.
I got an email about today's visit:

New COVID-19 Patient Arrival Instructions:

Upon Arrival:
Please wear you mask to your appointment. If you do not have one, one will be provided by the office.
The day of your appointment you will receive an email/text asking you to log into your Patient Connect account to complete their paperwork online before their appointment (this has to be done the day of in order to meet that second COVID-19 screening requirement).
Upon arrival to your appointment please remain in your vehicle and respond to our text message to tell us that you’ve arrived.
When your provider is ready, we will text you to come in. Please use the sanitizer provided at the front door, and proceed to come into the office and your assistant or hygienist will take you directly to your room.
Your mask should be on at all times, except for when dental treatment is being done.
Again, if a parent or translator is accompanying you to the appointment they must also have their temperature taken, be provided a mask, and asked to sanitize their hands.
Upon Dismissal:
You will be handed a receipt for your appointment that shows your amount due. Please follow the link provided below to make you payment/co-payment that is due for your service. Please call the office if you should have any questions.

6-28-2020 Pergola

We decided to dismantle the pergola
and give ourselves more room on our deck.
I think it will be going on the facebook 'swap page' in a day or so.
We found we were not using it that much
and it takes up so much space on our deck!
Plus, this will be one less thing for the kids to deal with
when the time comes.

Much more open without it!!!

6-26-2020 Short Rows

Starting another baby blanket

on the dreaded "short rows!"

6-25-2020 Beach Shoreline

Today is my 3rd attempt at painting water...
this time I used Sarah Cray's tutorial
from "Let's Make Art".

I feel like I need to add a starfish to the lower right corner
in order to 'inform the viewer'
that this is a beach & sand & water
instead of brown mountains with a blue cloudy sky.
Hmmm....

6-20-2020 Letting Go

Letting go of things we used to use and enjoy in the past
is difficult...
knowing how much we paid for them originally...
and having fond memories of using them
in our 50's and 60's...
and that we no longer use them
as we approach 70 years of age...
sigh.
The kayaks and cross country skiis are next.
Time to clean out the garage.

Well, both bikes sold within an hour of being listed!
Plus, one of the guys bought a kayak too.
We'll keep the other for our S-I-L...
he borrows it sometimes when he and his friends
compete in the 'Taming of the Slough.'

And, it's the Summer Solstice WITH an Eclipse!
And, you can view it from Stonehenge for the first time...
