The Lodge provided complimentary S'mores baggies each night...

9-23-2020 The Voyageur

Each day we were at the North Shore of Lake Superior

we had breakfast at a coffee shop 30 miles away in Grand Marais, and

we had lunch at the Voyageur (also in Grand Marais)

since the restaurant at our Lutsen Resort was closed.

We got some bread and peanut butter from a grocery story

for dinners in our room in the evenings.

9-21-2020 Split Rock Light House

Sept.10, after watching a beautiful sunrise,

we drove an hour to see the Split Rock Lighthouse.

It was not open,

but locked up tight and not visible from the road

or the parking lot. Boo.

Several signs said that it was visible from Pebble Beach

so we drove there...

saw lots of pebbles,

but no lighthouse on the point. 

:-(

We got one photo from several miles away

as we drove to the Gooseberry Falls.
